Purpose of the position

The Inventory and Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in managing and optimizing inventory and logistics operations. Responsibilities include managing the relationship with a third-party logistics (3PL) provider, overseeing inbound inventory procedures, monitoring metrics for on-time shipping, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve operational objectives.

Responsibilities

1. Monitoring customer sales orders and 3PL performance

2. Manage relationship with US 3PL.

• Coordinating with 3PL to ensure urgent orders are prioritized, changes to orders are made, and order issues are resolved.
• Be onsite in Houston as needed to resolve any Ad hoc requests or issues.

3. Tracking US inbound shipments, transferring details to 3PL’s format, and verifying and receiving to SAP

4. Tracking metrics/KPIs and correcting shipping errors

5. Work with 3PL on appropriate inventory accuracy procedures.

6. Monitoring the FTP site for errors with uploading/processing orders and correcting/escalating any issues

7. Assisting with processing RGAs (Returns goods) upon delivery to 3PL and dispositioning RGAs physically at 3PL

• Be onsite up to a full week once a month to review and disposition all returns.

8. Work with marketing and sales teams to establish adequate safety stock and monitor compliance to target inventory levels.

Compensation/Benefits –$50-60K Annual Salary USD

Education and Experience Requirements

Education: Bachelors degree

Experience: 3 years in supply chain experience

Specialized Knowledge: Strong computer skills a must, Microsoft Excel, SAP and warehouse management system software (preferable)

Physical Demands

Ability to lift 20 pounds as the job entails occasional sorting of returned goods inventory. Travel required to Houston facility and Southern California approximately one week per month.
